Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has emerged as Kenya’s top-performing Member of Parliament in the latest Infotrak survey, earning an 80 per cent approval rating.
According to the survey, Kabuchai MP Joseph Kalasinga ranked second with a 78 per cent approval rating, while Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Taveta MP John Bwire shared third place after each recorded 76 per cent.
The poll also placed Samburu West MP Josephine Lesuuda, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek, Keiyo South MP Gideon Kimaiyo, Belgut MP Nelson Koech and Mukurweini MP Kaguchia Gichohi among the country’s best-performing legislators, with each receiving a 73 per cent approval rating.
Also featuring prominently in the rankings were Aldai MP Marianne Kitany, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, Samburu East MP Jackson Lekumontare and Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako, who each posted a 72 per cent approval rating.
Mbooni MP Erastus Nzioka followed with 71 per cent, while Changamwe MP Omar Mwinyi and Awendo MP John Walter Owino completed the top performers’ list after each scored 70 per cent.
The latest Infotrak ranking adds to a series of accolades for Embakasi East MP Babu Owino. Earlier this year, he was named the country’s best-performing legislator at the 2026 Politrack Africa Star Leaders Awards.
Owino also received the same recognition from Politrack Africa in 2025 and was ranked Kenya’s best-performing Member of Parliament in an Infotrak survey released in February 2025.
The Embakasi East lawmaker welcomed the ranking, thanking his constituents and supporters for their trust. He said the recognition reflects his commitment to accountable leadership and delivering meaningful development for the people of Embakasi East.
