Nyando Member of Parliament Jared Okello is grieving following the passing of his mother, Mama Doris Okello.

The death of Mama Doris was confirmed by the ODM Party through its social media platforms, extending messages of condolence to the MP, and expressing sympathy during the period of mourning.

“Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family of Hon. Jared Okello, MP for Nyando following the passing of the family matriarch Mama Doris Okello,” ODM stated.

The Party further noted that Mama Doris died  on the night of May 5, however it did not disclose the cause of the death.

The party went further to wish the MP messages of condolences, putting him in thoughts and prayers in the difficult time.

“We pray to God to guide the family and give them strength, comfort and peace during this difficult time of grief. May the Soul of Mama Doris RIP,” stated ODM Party.

Legislator Jared Okello, who is serving his second term after being first elected in 2017, is also a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Executive Council (NEC), the party’s top administrative and policy-making body.
