The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a partial night-time closure of a section of the A8/B10 Highway from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

In a public notice on Thursday, KeNHA Director General Luka Kimeli said the affected area stretches from the JKIA Turn-off to the Elephant Roundabout.

Luka Kimeli said the partial closure is to facilitate maintenance works, from April 10 to April 19, between 10pm and 5am.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) notifies the public that a section of A8/B10 Highway from JKIA Turn-off to JKIA Elephant Roundabout will be partially closed every night from Friday, April 10, 2026, to Sunday, April 19, 2026 between 10.00 pm and 5.00 am,” read the notice.

“This closure is to allow for highway maintenance works on the road section,” KeNHA added, noting that during the period, part of the carriageway shall be closed at a time to ensure minimal traffic disruption.

KeNHA further advised motorists using the route to follow the proposed traffic management plan as well as cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site.

The authority added that normal traffic operations on the road will be restored upon completion of the works.
