Police officers from Dandora Police Station have recovered a Tokarev pistol from a suspected criminal gang that has been terrorising residents in Dandora and its surrounding areas.

According to police reports, the officers were on routine patrol when they encountered three young men allegedly robbing members of the public along Councillor Opundo Road.
“Police Officers from Dandora police station have recovered a Tokarev pistol from a three-man gang that has been terrorising innocent members of the public in Dandora and its environs,” DCI said.
Upon confronting the suspects and ordering them to surrender, one of them reportedly drew a firearm and opened fire on the officers.
The officers responded, fatally injuring one of the suspects during the exchange. His two accomplices managed to escape on foot towards the Maili Saba area.
A search conducted on the deceased suspect led to the recovery of a Tokarev pistol loaded with two rounds of 9mm ammunition, a military knife, and two mobile phones believed to have been stolen.
The scene has since been processed, and the body was moved to the Nairobi City Mortuary pending identification and a post-mortem examination.
Police have launched a manhunt for the two suspects who fled the scene.
