Four suspects linked to a violent carjacking and gang-rape incident in Kisii County have been positively identified by victims during an identification parade at Kenya Police Service’s Kisii Police Station.

According to investigators, the suspects were earlier intercepted while in possession of a homemade firearm and several crude weapons.
Police said the ordeal began along Mocheche Avenue, where a young couple was attacked by a gang of six men while inside their vehicle.
The assailants reportedly forced their way into the car before driving the victims to a secluded thicket in Bobaracho area.
The gang is said to have robbed the couple of Sh34,000 in cash and other valuables before blindfolding them and locking them in the boot of the vehicle.
Authorities say the male victim was later abandoned in Mabundu area in Nyamira County, while the suspects drove away with the woman.
Police reports indicate the woman was subsequently gang-raped before being dumped by the attackers.
The four suspects identified are Peter Kuria, Moses Kariuki, Robert Omosa and Evans Makori.
Detectives say they are undergoing processing ahead of arraignment in court.
Investigations are ongoing as detectives pursue two additional suspects believed to have participated in the attack.
