Police in Trans Nzoia County have arrested two suspects linked to organised criminal activities and recovered weapons and other items believed to have been used in crime.

In a statement by the Directorate Of Criminal Investigations (DCI), officers from Kitale Police Station, working jointly with detectives from DCI Headquarters, carried out a coordinated operation in Chebarus and Kibomet areas of Trans Nzoia West Sub-County.
The raid led to the arrest of the duo, identified as Dickson Wamocho and Frank Kuyala.
“Acting on intelligence, police officers from Kitale Police Station joined forces with a team of officers from DCI Headquarters, executing a well-coordinated raid in Chebarus and Kibomet areas of Trans Nzoia West Sub-County, leading to the swift arrest of Dickson Wamocho and Frank Kuyala,” DCI said.
During the search, officers recovered a military-style tactical uniform, two pairs of combat boots, a sword, metal rods, and several mobile phones suspected to have been used in criminal operations.
The suspects are currently in custody undergoing processing ahead of arraignment in court. The recovered items have been secured as exhibits.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the operation underscores its continued efforts to dismantle organised criminal networks through intelligence-led policing.
The agency has also urged members of the public to continue sharing credible information to support law enforcement operations.
