Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has announced the dates for branch and county delegates elections in Taita Taveta County, Nyando Branch and Kisumu County.

In a notice issued on Wednesday May 13 by the party’s National Elections Coordinating Committee (NECC), the elections are scheduled to take place between May and June 2026 as part of the party’s grassroots leadership reorganisation.
According to the announcement, Taita Taveta County delegates elections will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, followed by Nyando Branch delegates elections on Friday, May 29, 2026.
Kisumu County delegates elections are set for Friday, June 5, 2026.
The NECC stated that the elections will be conducted between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., with eligible delegates from the respective branches and counties invited to apply for various positions within the branch and county offices.
“Eligible delegates of the branch and counties can apply for any positions at the Branch and County offices,” the notice read.
The exercise forms part of ODM’s ongoing internal party elections aimed at strengthening grassroots leadership structures ahead of future political activities.
This comes a day after the Orange Party officially opened applications for individuals seeking to contest various elective seats on the party ticket ahead of the 2027 General Election.
ODM invited interested members to submit applications for six positions, including president, governor, senator, woman representative, member of parliament, and member of county assembly, before June 30, 2026.
