Lenana School Sets Strict Conditions for Student Return After Strike

Lenana School has issued a formal readmission notice to all parents and guardians, outlining the schedule for students to return following the unrest that occurred on 1st June 2026.

In a notice dated 8th June 2026, the school management stated that after consultations with the Ministry of Education, the Board of Management, and other stakeholders, students will be readmitted according to a structured schedule.

“Following the unrest that occurred on June 1, 2026 and subsequent consultation with the Ministry of Education, the Board management and PA stakeholders the school management will be readmitting in the following schedule,” the notice read.

The school stated that check-in and readmission will be conducted strictly between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on the respective dates, warning that students arriving after 10:00 a.m. will not be processed that day and will be rescheduled.

According to the schedule, Form 4 students will report on Wednesday, 10th June 2026.

Grade 10 Cohort I students will report on Monday, 15th June 2026 while Grade 10 Cohort II students will report on Tuesday, 16th June 2026.

Form 3 Cohort I students will report on Thursday, 18th June 2026. Form 3 Cohort II students will report on Friday, 19th June 2026.

The school further issued strict guidelines for the readmission of students, stating that each learner must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. According to the directive, students who report back to school accompanied by siblings, relatives, drivers, or any other individuals will not be allowed to be admitted.

As per the notice, all students must clear any outstanding school fees and other pending financial obligations before being allowed to re-enter. In addition, each student will be required to pay Ksh 3,600 to cater for damages caused during the strike.

Further, the administration indicated that students are required to report in full official school uniform and be appropriately groomed, as those in non-uniform attire or violating the dress code will be turned away.
