The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has officially opened applications for individuals seeking to contest various elective seats on the party ticket ahead of the 2027 General Election.

In a notice issued on May 11, 2026 by the party’s National Elections Coordinating Committee (NECC), ODM invited interested members to submit applications for six positions, including president, governor, senator, woman representative, member of parliament, and member of county assembly, before June 30, 2026.
NECC maintained that the nomination exercise will be conducted in accordance to Article 61(1) of the ODM Constitution alongside the party’s Elections and Nomination Rules.
“Pursuant to Article 61(1) of the ODM Constitution, as read together with Rule 7(1) and Part VIII of the Party Elections and Nomination Rules, the National Elections Coordinating Committee (NECC) hereby invites applications from interested Party members seeking to contest in the 2027 General Elections on the ODM Party ticket,” ODM stated
To qualify for the party ticket, NECC stated that an applicant must be a registered voter, a life member of the party with valid membership certificates, and possess a national identification card or passport, as well as relevant academic certificates.
NECC further urged interested aspirants to apply through the party’s online portal https://aspirants.odm-ke.com/ on or before June 30, 2026.
ODM also encouraged members to confirm their membership details early enough by dialling *483*036#, a verification step likely aimed at preventing disputes over party registration status.
