Skyward to Raise Ticket Prices from April 1, Cites Rising Global Fuel Costs

Skyward Airlines has announced that it will raise ticket prices starting April, introducing a fuel surcharge on all bookings, due to the rising global fuel costs.

Through a passenger advisory on Thursday March 26, the Airline stated that it will implement a ticket prices adjustment affective April 1, 2026, aimed at sustaining its operations.

“Please note that effective 1st April 2026, a fuel surcharge will apply to all Skyward Airlines ticket prices due to the sustained rise in global fuel costs affecting the aviation industry,” the Airline noted.

The airline reiterated that the decision was necessary to keep pace with rising global fuel costs and mounting supply pressures in international markets, noting that the adjustment is aimed at maintaining operational stability and ensuring continued service delivery.

“The aviation industry continues to navigate the impact of rising global fuel costs, driven by sustained supply pressures in international markets. As internationally imported fuel represents a substantial portion of our operating costs for each flight, these conditions have required us to take deliberate steps to ensure we can maintain a sustainable and reliable service,” it stated.

It noted that the pricing adjustments are transparent and intended to safeguard consistent air transport services amid fuel price fluctuations.

“We are committed to offering you competitive, transparent pricing and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. Should circumstances change, we will keep you updated accordingly,” Skyward assured.
