Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamita has strongly criticized former President Uhuru Kenyatta, following his recent comments downplaying government projects.

Nyamita who was speaking at a local television station on Tuesday morning, asserted that President Ruto’s administration has been working tirelessly to clean up the mess caused by the previous regime.
“The biggest trial and error, the biggest tried and untested thing this country did was the election of Uhuru Kenyatta,” Nyamita said adding that, “President Ruto has been trying to fix the mess of Uhuru Kenyatta in the education sector. The current government has worked very hard to try and rescue Kenya from debt.”
During Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference (NDC) held on Friday last week in Nairobi, former President Uhuru Kenyatta took a swipe at the Kenya Kwanza government, accusing it for abolishing the Linda Mama initiative and replacing it with ‘untested and untried’ schemes.
His remarks triggered public uproar with leaders allied to President Ruto defending the new Social Health Authority (SHA).
According to Nyamita, Uhuru’s Linda Mama only catered for expectant mothers.
“Linda mama only catered for mothers but SHA caters for all medical issues. Electing Uhuru Kenyatta was the worst mistake we ever made as Kenyans,” he stated.
He also threw his weight behind ODM’s new partnership with the ruling party, UDA, reiterating that the opposition is at liberty to support the government when it aligns with its decisions.
“Kenyans should take ODM seriously because it has come to save the nation. Opposition is free to support the party in government if the idea brought up favors the people,” he maintained, adding that the Raila led party will continue working with President Ruto, but in an arrangement where there is a balance of power.
