A Member of the Nairobi County Assembly and two other men have been charged before the Makadara Law Courts over an alleged robbery with violence linked to an incident that occurred in Donholm late last month.

Viwandani Ward MCA Aaron Kang’ara Wangari appeared in court alongside Kefa Munyoro and Zablon Kirima Mwangi, where they denied the charges brought against them.
Prosecutors allege the three jointly attacked and robbed three people during the June 26 incident before escaping from the scene.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), detectives connected the suspects to the robbery after conducting investigations that eventually led to their arrest and prosecution.
The accused persons entered not guilty pleas when the charges were read before the court.
“We allow each of them to secure their release on a bond of Ksh.1 million or an alternative cash bail of Ksh.500,000 as the case proceeds, ” said the magistrate.
The court is expected to issue a mention date for further directions as investigations continue and preparations for the hearing get underway.
The prosecution now faces the task of presenting evidence to support the charges, while the three accused will have an opportunity to defend themselves during the trial.
The case is expected to proceed through the judicial process before the court determines their guilt or innocence.
