The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has warned members of the public about a growing scam involving fraudulent employment contract letters allegedly issued by the agency.
In a public notice issued on Wednesday, KeNHA said the documents circulating online and through other channels are fake and did not originate from the Authority.
The agency clarified that genuine employment and contract award letters are only issued to successful applicants through its official communication channels.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to alert members of the public that fraudsters are circulating fake employment contract letters falsely claiming to have been issued by the Authority,” KeNHA said.
“KeNHA wishes to clarify that these documents are fraudulent and did not originate from the Authority. Employment and contract award letters are issued only to successful applicants through KeNHA’s official communication channels.”
KeNHA urged job seekers and members of the public to exercise caution when receiving employment-related messages and to verify their authenticity directly with the Authority before taking any action.
The Authority advised the public to disregard suspicious employment letters, offers, or contracts claiming to be from KeNHA and warned against making any payments in exchange for job opportunities or recruitment services.
“Members of the public are advised to treat any suspicious employment-related communication with caution and verify its authenticity directly with the Authority before taking any action,” KeNHA said.
The agency further encouraged anyone who encounters suspected fraud or attempted scams to report the matter to relevant law enforcement agencies or contact KeNHA through its official channels.
KeNHA reiterated its commitment to maintaining transparency and integrity in its recruitment processes, while urging the public to remain vigilant against employment-related fraud.
