Kenyans seeking government services at Huduma Centres across the country will have to wait longer after a power outage disrupted operations at the agency’s data centre.

In a public notice issued on Monday, June 15, 2026, Huduma Kenya announced that its services had been temporarily suspended due to the unexpected outage, which affected the systems supporting operations at its service centres nationwide.
“Huduma Kenya wishes to inform the public that services are temporarily unavailable at Huduma Centres due to a power outage that affected our data centre,” the notice stated.
The agency said its technical teams were already working to restore normal operations and assured members of the public that every effort was being made to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
“Our technical teams are working to restore services as soon as possible,” Huduma Kenya added.
The disruption is expected to inconvenience thousands of Kenyans who rely on Huduma Centres for essential government services, including national registration, NHIF and NSSF services, business registration, and other public service applications.
Huduma Kenya apologised for the inconvenience caused and appealed for patience from affected citizens as restoration efforts continue.
The agency urged the public to follow its official communication channels for updates on when services will resume.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience,” the statement concluded.
