Officers from the National Police Service (NPS) have recovered assorted stolen property and arrested two suspects during a security operation in Makindu Sub-County, Makueni County.

According to police, the operation was launched following reports from members of the public concerning the vandalism of water infrastructure within a residential area.
Acting on the information, officers responded swiftly and arrested one suspect who was found in possession of water-related equipment believed to have been stolen.
Subsequent investigations led law enforcement officers to business premises within the area, where a search uncovered additional items suspected to be stolen.
Among the recovered property were water meters, water pipes, railway metal components, electrical infrastructure materials, fuel, and assorted consumer goods believed to be proceeds of crime.
The two suspects were taken into lawful custody and are expected to be arraigned in court once investigations are completed.
