In a fresh attack against the head of state, former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi has dared President William Ruto to resign from office.

The former CS who was speaking during an interview with Spice FM, said that Ruto was unfit to hold the top office due to what he described as a lying nature. He accused the president of disregarding the presidency by not being truthful to the electorate.
“Mr. President, please do the honorable thing and resign. You have demonstrated that you are unfit to hold the highest office in the land. You have become an incorrigible liar. Kenyans know it, and it is deeply hurting for citizens to see their President telling lies in broad daylight,” Mutua said.
Referring to the remarks by Ruto that all the abductees had been released to their families, Muturi asserted that it was a clear indication that he (Ruto) was a party to the kidnappings. He then called on the Parliament to invoke Article 145 and kickstart impeachment proceedings against the head of state.
During a joint media conference with the Finish President Alexander Stubb at State house Nairobi earlier this week, President Ruto admitted to occurrence of abductions.
“There is no reason why Parliament should not invoke its powers under Article 145 and initiate impeachment proceedings against the President,” Muturi said adding, “By his own admission, individuals have been abducted and later returned. This is a clear violation of the Constitution.”
“Who facilitated their return, and under whose authority? Mr. President, you appear to have this information. The question then becomes: if you know, why haven’t you acted, and if you haven’t acted, what does that say about your complicity?” he posed.
Muturi was dismissed from the Cabinet on March 26, after publicly critiquing the Kenya Kwanza administration over abductions which he claimed were state sponsored.
