President William Ruto has mourned the passing of Kenyan gospel artist Beatrice Wairimu Mbugua, popularly known as Betty Bayo, describing her as an extraordinary musician whose voice carried hope and healing to many.

In a message shared on his socials, Ruto said that Bayo’s music inspired many Kenyans, strengthening their faith when faced with difficulties.
The Head of state celebrated her contribution to the country’s gospel music industry, saying that her breakthrough hit – 11th hour, was a powerful anthem of divine turnabout. He added that the song inspired and offered comfort to a lot of people seeking encouragement and spiritual strength.
He also stated that the late Bayo’s life lifted spirits through music that spoke of resilience, renewal and steadfast faith in the face of life’s challenges.Ruto further said that even in death, her voice will continue to be felt through the lives she touched and the ministry she built.
“Her voice may have fallen silent, but her ministry lives on in every heat he touched, every soul she uplifted, and every life she helped steady in difficult moments,” said the president.
The Head of State extended his deepest condolences to the deceased’s family, friends and the entire gospel music industry.
