Pastor James Ng’ang’a of the Neno Evangelist Center, has fired back at Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris, after the legislator asked parliament to launch investigations, following his controversial remarks.
In a video shared on his social media accounts, Pastor Ng’ang’a refered to the calls for his arrest as politically motivated.
He accused Passaris of targeting him out of envy, citing his huge following as the reason behind the attacks. He vowed to retaliate by “reporting her to God.”
“What have I now done? I know you people will make phone calls that I be arrested, what is that now? There is God in heaven, and one day you will pay. You started by attacking me with this land; you don’t fear the Lord,” Ng’ang’a said.
“This is the second time you are attacking me for no reason. You have reported me to members of Parliament. I will now report you to God. He will handle your case. You are seeing me with many people, and now it is hurting you, and it will continue; I will scatter you,” he added.
In a video clip that went viral on social media, Pastor Ng’ang’a openly confessed to having participated in the sexual assault of a woman by eight people.
“We assaulted one woman while we were eight people. We did it,” Ng’ang’a said while addressing a congregation.
Passaris in a post shared on her X account on 7th October 2025, urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), to investigate the Televangelist and ensure justice is served.
She further advised Ng’ang’a to surrender himself to the authorities, name the other eight persons and help deliver justice for the survivor.
“I have seen a clip circulating on social media allegedly showing Pastor Ng’ang’a confessing that he and eight others raped a woman. It is no laughing matter. We can not move past such a serious matter without holding space for real accountability,” she wrote on X.
“If that video is real, then it is not a sermon it is a criminal confession. It should have been flagged instantly, and the pastor picked up for questioning by the authorities,” she added.
