Barcelona knocked out of EUEFA Champions League as Inter Milan book their spot in the finals in a stunning 4-3 thriller in their second leg clash that saw Milan through to the finals with an Aggregate of 7-6 goals.
This is the second time Milan sail through to the finals in three years as Barca’s hopes of clinching their first champions league tittle in a decade and also marking their treble win this season as they have won Supacopa and Copa Del rey and are leading in the Spanish Laliga competition with a 4 point-lead over Real Madrid, cut short.
Despite fighting hard from 2-0 down at halftime, to leveling up to 3-3 in the 88th minute, Davide Fratesi’s late strike sent the Laliga Giants out of the competition.
Hansi Flicks side, made up of youngstars, were disappointed as they bow down in their critical match, but their hopes are still on in the El Clasico and Laliga, where they sit in an advantageous position.

The game marked another history in champions as they join Liverpool and Roma with the highest-scoring Champions League semi-final ever, with 13 goals involved on aggregates, when Liverpool edged Roma in a 7-6 thriller in their semi finals clash in 2018.
The two teams have had a great season with adorable form, although Milan side is formed of a bit older players compared to Barca, they proved their dominance in the game.Barca Coach Hansi Flick accepted the defeat indefinitely but expressed his displeasure with the match officials following their decision making that, according to the coach wasn’t pleasing at some point.
“Inter also play and it’s a great team. They defend very well and have God strikers. Keep the ball and have good automatics.I don’t want to talk too much about the refs but I think every decision he made that was 50/50 was for them. It’s just the way it has been,” Flick said.
He added that he is disappointed not to funs or players but for loosing and being eliminated from the competition, but says they are out to prepare for the next Season’s Champions league and revert the joy back to the club.
On the other hand, Barca players couldn’t come to terms with the fact that they are out but optimistic on winning the league in future.
Lamine Yamal sent a touching message to his Barca funs pleads with them to accept the results and they will definitely clinch the tittle.
“We won’t stop until we put this club where it belongs: at the very top. I will keep my promise and bring it to Barcelona and we won’t stop untill we achieve it. We gave it our all, this year it couldn’t be, but we’ll be back at our best level, have no doubt about it,” the Wenger said.
