President William Ruto has strongly condemned recent missile and drone strikes targeting the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and several other countries in the Middle East, warning that the widening confrontation between Israel and Iran threatens regional and global stability.

In a statement released on Monday, President Ruto expressed his deepest concerns over the growing hostilities, noting that continued attacks risk dragging more countries into the conflict while endangering civilian lives and vital infrastructure.
He called for immediate restraint and renewed diplomatic engagement to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
“The growing cycle of retaliation undermines international peace and security. Kenya condemns these attacks and urges all parties to prioritise dialogue, de-escalation, and peaceful resolution,” President Ruto said.
The Head of State went on reaffirming Kenya’s commitment to multilateral diplomacy, respect for sovereignty, and adherence to international law, while emphasizing that sustainable peace can only be achieved through negotiations rather than military confrontation.
Recent developments have seen heightened military activity across the Gulf region, with explosions, airspace closures, and tightened security measures reported in multiple countries.
The escalating tensions have raised fears of a broader regional conflict that could disrupt global trade routes, energy supplies, and economic stability.
Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs issued safety advisories to Kenyans living and working in the affected countries, urging them to remain vigilant, avoid high-risk areas, and stay in close contact with Kenyan diplomatic missions for guidance and emergency assistance.
The government also reiterated its readiness to work together with international partners in supporting diplomatic initiatives, with the aim of restoring calm and preventing further escalation.
Kenya emphasized the importance of protecting civilians and ensuring humanitarian access amid the unfolding crisis.
As the conflict continues to evolve, Kenya urged the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts and adopt measures that prioritise peace, stability, and the protection of innocent lives, warning that failure to act could lead to devastating regional and global consequences.
