The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has reopened the Globe Roundabout along Thika Superhighway, restoring normal traffic flow after a two-week closure for repairs.

In a public notice dated March 25, 2026, the authority stated that it had completed critical reinstatement works at the Nairobi River Bridge, urging motorists to resume their usual routes.
“We notify motorists and the public that traffic flow at Globe Roundabout along Thika Superhighway (A2) has been restored. Motorists can now resume normal travel along this section,” KeNHA stated.
The closure, effected on March 12, 2026, had significantly impacted traffic between Nairobi’s Central Business District, Kipande Road, and Thika Superhighway.
KeNHA expressed appreciation for the cooperation and patience shown by motorists and residents throughout the repair period.
“KeNHA appreciates the cooperation, patience, and understanding demonstrated by motorists and residents during this period,” the statement added.
The reopening is expected to ease congestion and improve connectivity from Thika Road to Nairobi CBD.
