Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has made changes in the County Executive, reassigning 10 of the County Chief Officers to new dockets.

In a communique dated 18th November 2025, Sakaja moved renowned Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria from the Environment sector to the Citizen Engagement and Customer Service docket.
The Environment sector will now be headed by Hibrahim Otieno who previously was in charge of Medical Facilities.
According to Sakaja, the changes, carried out in accordance with section 45(5) of the County Government Act 2012, are set to improve service delivery to city residents
In other changes Godfrey Akumali has been moved from Business and Hustler Opportunities to the Housing and Urban Renewal Department, switching roles with Lydia Mathia. Sakaja stated that Godfrey Akumali will remain the Acting County Secretary.
Tony Michael Kimani, who previously headed Social Services sector, has been reassigned to lead the Social Services and Estate Management sector.
Sande Oyolo moved from Digital Economy and Start-ups to Medical Facilities docket. His place will be assumed by Wilson Gakuya, who held the Smart Nairobi sector.
Zipporah Mwanguli has also been moved to the City Culture, Arts and Tourism from Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, While Michael Waikenda fills in the Mobility and AG ICT Infrastructure, from Mobility Sector.
Clement Rapudo will head Smart Nairobi Sector, moved from City’s Culture, Arts and Tourism sector.
