Bayern Munich were crowned Bundesliga champions on Sunday May 4, a day after their dramatic 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig, when Xabi Alonso’s side Bayer Levalerkusen failed to secure a win against Freiburg.
A goal from Yussuf Poulsen, that led to the draw, held their much awaited day on Saturday, but luck was on their side as this didn’t last long before they were confirmed as the winners the following day.
Levalerkusen drew with SC Freiburg in a 2-2 thriller assuring Munich’s coronation as the new Champions. This was determined as they couldn’t catch up with the leaders,Bayern, who are 8 points up with 76 points.
Munich claimed their 34th German National tittle and 33rd league tittle with 24 wins,7 draws and 2 losses after playing 32 games.

This was a dream come true for Vincent kompany, Bayern’s Coach, who signed for the club after failing to secure a spot in the premier League last season, as he was almost being relegated with Burnley.
The 39-year old has now changed his story by winning his debut season in the league and saving his coaching career.
Kompany, although hit by some major disappointments, which includes being knocked out of Champions league quarter finals in a 4-3 thriller and loosing 1-0 to Bayer Levalerkusen in the German Cup last December, Kompany’s persistence and determination led him through to clinch his first tittle as a manager.
Speaking after winning the league, Kompany Dedicated his win to the players and coaching staff which include his assistants Aaron Danks, René Marić and Floribert N‘Galula who were also winning the tittle for the First time.

“We can take a moment now to enjoy winning the Bundesliga, what an incredible feeling! I want to congratulate the players for their outstanding effort throughout the season. You’ve done this together. You’ve won it as a team.” Kompany said.
On the other side, England’s Captain Harry Kane’s 15-year major league tittle curse came to an end as he lifts his first ever league tittle turning his fate around.
Kane has never won any trophy with either club or nation in his career and this was a significant milestone to the England striker who signed for the club from EPL club Tottenham Hotspurs.
Bayern have laid down another history as they have won 12 titles in 13 seasons, sealing their dominance against Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach who are considered the next most successful side in the league with 28 more trophies.
