Shatta Bway joined Cape Media last year after parting ways with Royal Media Services, where he spent five years hosting the Waks TikiTaka show alongside Q-ty and Deejay Rambo. However, his new adventure didn’t last long.

Announcing his departure from the media house, Shatta Bway thanked his fans for their great support throughout his tenure and career as a journalist.

“Six years ago, I switched on a microphone and introduced you to The Shatta Bway, and you guys became family instantly. You’ve been with me through thick and thin the highs and lows of life. Today, I have made another decision,” the presenter said.

He explained that he had big ambitions of soaring higher under the roof of TV47, Radio 47, and Maybets betting company owned by Cape Media, but unfortunately, he had to make the decision to leave.

“I have officially left Cape Media (TV & Radio 47 and Maybets). I leave with no regrets, only gratitude, and a genuine desire to see Cape Media soar even higher,” he added.

Notably, his move seems to be driven by his love for radio fans who have consistently urged him to return to full-time radio presenting and he says he has bowed to the pressure, hinting at a new destination.

“You asked for Shatta to go back to radio daily, and your prayers have been answered so stay tuned for the next chapter,” he said.

Shatta follows in the footsteps of his former colleague Willis Raburu, who also left Royal Media for Cape Media, but after a short while, moved on to a new role at Nairobi County.
